We have a huge collection of eBook, eAudiobook and ePress titles which cover a range of genres for adults, young adults and children. You may read or listen to titles on your computer, eReader, tablet or smart phone. 

To use this online service all you need to do is be a library member, have a PIN and have access to the internet.
Members can borrow and download up to 5 eBooks, 5 eAudiobooks and 5 ePress titles every 14 days.  Whether you're interested in fiction, business advice, biographies, lifestyle writing or stories for adults and children, you're sure to find the perfect title in the library collection.

Set Up Instructions

The best way to enjoy eBooks is by using the BorrowBox Mobile App on your Apple or Android device. This App is user friendly, specifically designed by Bolinda to access our ebook collection. 

The first time you open BorrowBox you will be asked for Account details

  1. Select the yellow box and search for Corangamite Moyne Library Service as your Library.
  2. Enter your 14 digit borrower number into the ID field. This is found on the back of your library membership card under the barcode.
  3. Enter your PIN number in PIN/Password.
  4. Once all these settings are entered click sign in to read and agree to the Terms and Conditions. The App will then take a moment to initialise the Library.

The BorrowBox App allows you to search our collection, download and read ebooks.

eBooks setup instructions

The first time you open BorrowBox you will be asked for Account details.

Read eBooks on a computer and eReader devices

If you do not have a mobile device such as a tablet or smartphone you can also download and read eBooks on your computer. All you need to do is make sure you have Adobe Digital Editions installed on your computer.  Bolinda eBooks can also be read on most eReader devices.  To transfer an eBook from your computer to an eReader device follow these steps:

1. Prepare your computer

  1. Click here to visit the Adobe site and follow the instructions  to install the Adobe Digital Editions software.
  2. On the first launch of Adobe Digital Editions click on Help>Authorise computer.
  3. On the following screen choose Adobe ID from the dropdown menu and enter your Adobe ID and password. If you do not have an Adobe ID yet, click on the Create an Adobe ID link to the right of the dropdown box.

2. Download your eBook

  1. Click here to access the Corangamite Moyne Library Service eBook Collection. Click on Login and enter your details.
  2. Click on the Borrow button to borrow a particular title and then select Confirm eBook loan. This will then take you to the Download page.
  3. To download the title to your computer select Download for eReader.
  4. When you get a pop-up dialogue box asking you whether you would like to Open, Run or Save make sure that you select Open With and choose Adobe Digital Editions. Adobe Digital Editions will then import the eBook file and you can find it in the borrowed section on the left hand side of the window.

3. Transfer and enjoy!

To transfer an eBook to an eReader device, attach the device to your computer. It should appear in Adobe Digital Editions in the list on the left side of the window. Now just drag the eBook onto the device

 

eBooks Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How many items can I borrow? You can borrow a maximum of 5 eBooks, 5 eAudiobooks and 5 ePress titles at a time.

How long can I borrow items for? The loan period is two weeks.

Can I renew an item? No loans cannot be renewed.

Can I return my loan before the due date? No, the item will be automatically removed from your My Loans list after the two week loan period.

Can I get BorrowBox on my home computer? No. Borrower box is an application for mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets.  For eBooks on a computer you need Adobe Digital Editions software. This software is downloadable free from the internet.

Can I read my eBooks offline? Yes, as long as you have downloaded the eBook to your device, you don’t need to be connected to the internet to access it.

Can I export eBooks to my eReader? You can export Bolinda eBooks to any reader that accepts Adobe ePub files. Kindles are not compatible.

How do I delete/return the eBook from my eReader? If you have downloaded the eBook through BorrowBox then there is no need to manually delete it, as it will automatically be deleted when the loan period expires.

If the eBook has been downloaded through the website version then this will need to be manually deleted from your computer or any devices it has been transferred to (i.e. E-Readers). However, the file becomes unusable after the loan period expires, so the next time you try to open it you will be given the option to delete it.

What operating systems are supported? All operating systems are supported, so long as you have an internet connection, compatible web browser and a media manager or device.

What internet browsers are supported? This service will work on every browser. Microsoft Edge, Firefox and Chrome for Windows users,  and Safari, Firefox and Chrome for Mac users.

Why can't I borrow or reserve any more titles? The library defines your loan settings. Once you have reached your quota of loans/reserves, you will need to wait until your loan period is reset.

Why can't I find the title I'm looking for? Try using the quick search option to find the title. If that is not successful, try using the Advanced Search option and enter all known information about the title.If you still cannot find it, it may not be a title that we provide.

How do I change my account details? After you log in go to your My Account page, from there you can update your details by clicking the Edit Account Details button.

Can I borrow with multiple library accounts in the mobile app? No, it is not possible to borrow from multiple libraries in the mobile app; you can only be logged in to one library at any one time.

How do I update my BorrowBox mobile app? Simply visit the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, search for the BorrowBox Library app and press the Update button.

How do I reset my BorrowBox app?
IPHONE/IPOD/IPAD
Navigate to the Settings tab, go to the Account Details section and press the Reset button. Please note that all current downloads will be lost. You will then be asked to sign in again.
ANDROID
Press the Menu button at the top right of the screen or on some devices below the screen and select Account Details. On the following screen select the Reset App option.
