FAQs

As of 1 July 2022, the operation of library services in Corangamite Shire and Moyne Shire will transition to Corangamite Moyne Library Service. This will see branches continue to deliver the great level of service in Camperdown, Cobden, Derrinallum, Koroit, Macarthur, Mortlake, Port Fairy, Terang and Timboon as well as online digital resources.

Existing members who belong to a Moyne or Corangamite Shire library branch or have used the library services in the last 12 months, will automatically be transferred to a Corangamite Moyne Library Service membership from 1 July 2022.

You will be able to collect a Corangamite Moyne Library Service card and set a new PIN number when you come into any of the Corangamite Moyne Library branches or online from July 1. We look forward to welcoming you!

Between 27 and 30 June, library members will be unable to access their library account online, while we set up the system and equipment ready for opening on 1 July. In addition, branches will be closed during this time, we apologise for the inconvenience, but it will be worth the wait! We look forward to welcoming you back to your local library on Friday 1 July.

Will there be any fines?

Fine free from July 1!

Corangamite Moyne Library Services will welcome members and waive any and all existing library fines connected to your account, as well as implementing a no fines policy moving forward. So, if you have been hiding from our branches due to overdue or concern about fines – hide no more! We want to see you in branches, making the most of the extensive catalogue of resources and enjoying the library spaces. We are excited to see you back in a library branch near you.

What other library branches can I access?

Corangamite Moyne Library Service will offer its great service in the townships of Camperdown, Cobden, Derrinallum, Koroit, Mortlake, Port Fairy, Terang and Timboon. Keep an eye out in Skipton too as we look to launch our first book depot, with access to over 1000 resources, with self checkout capabilities.

Searching the catalogue online

Visit our website www.cmlibraries.com.au to browse the catalogue online. Login to your library account to place a hold on items or renew items. Please speak with a staff member if you need any help with the online catalogue.

Placing a hold/renewing items

You can renew or place a hold on collection items by logging into your account online, using the library app or in-person in branch.

Borrowing guidelines and loan periods

There are even more benefits with updates to the borrowing guidelines and loan periods for members. If you are having trouble getting through the book you have borrowed, before it is due back to the library, there is good news! With Corangamite Moyne Library Services, you can now borrow up to 40 items for up to 4 weeks – some would suggest we like the number 4 – the truth is we just want our library users to have the time to enjoy the book they are reading without the pressure to return it!
