Free pads and tampons now available at your local library

Corangamite Moyne Library Service is proud to join Victoria’s free pad and tampon program.
Seven of our library branches have had sanitary product vending machines installed as part of the State Government’s Free Pads and Tampons in Public Places program.
The statewide program is making pads and tampons more accessible at places like public hospitals, TAFEs and staffed train stations along with public libraries.
This program aims to support the dignity of our community and visitors, making these essential items available when people need them most, in familiar safe spaces like our libraries.
Periods are a normal part of life, and a lack of access to appropriate period products can negatively impact many areas of people’s lives. It can affect physical and mental health, and make it difficult to participate in education, employment and social activities.
The vending machines will dispense products in ‘packs’, allowing users to access ‘one for now and at least one for later’. The machines feature a time-out period, to ensure fair access, prevent excessive sampling and allow everyone to access products when they need them.
Vending machine locations:
•Camperdown Library
