Many Languages, One Love for Libraries!

Throughout March 2026, we invited library users to write a short message about why they love their library, in the language they feel most comfortable using.

This initiative celebrates and recognises the many languages spoken in our communities and highlights the role of libraries as inclusive, welcoming spaces.

We have postcards in Arabic, Maori, French, Hungarian, Dutch, English as well as others.

They are displayed (alongside an English translation where possible) to show our communities that we support all our members, regardless of language.
